Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to procurement, sales, franchising, wholesale, leasing, marketing, store construction, logistics, and department store arrangements etc.
Provide legal advice on real estate transactions and lease agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate marketing and communications agreements, including talent agreements.
Work with regional legal teams in Asia-Pacific and external law firms in Japan to develop and maintain contract templates and standard clauses.
【Retail-Related Matters】
Provide legal advice related to retail operations, including sales terms and condition of sales to customers and handling of customer harassment.
Provide legal advice on e-commerce activities.
Provide legal support in negotiations and dealings with department stores
Provide legal guidance on overall store operations.
【Labor Law & HR Support】
Draft, revise, and review internal HR policies and employment agreements.
Handle various labor issues, including disputes with employees.
Plan and deliver internal training sessions on labor law compliance.
Manage and coordinate labor-related legal matters handled by external counsel (including litigation).
【Corporate & General Legal Matters】
Handle corporate legal matters in accordance with the Companies Act.
Address compliance with various regulations, including the Unfair Competition Prevention Act, Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations, and Consumer Protection Laws.
Implement compliance measures, including internal legal training.
Manage dispute resolution and litigation matters.
Handle investigations or inquiries from government authorities.
Provide legal advice on various business activities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal business departments, our group’s legal team, and external legal resources.
