Principal Strategic Business Development Leader – Tokyo

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Strategic Business Development leader to join our international team in Tokyo. This is a rare opportunity to shape strategic partnerships with key enterprise customers while driving cross-organizational strategy from a high-impact, centralized role.

Key Responsibilities:
•Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships involving marketing, content, commerce, and technology components.
•Generate and execute complex, high-impact partnership activities across multiple business units and industries.
•Manage multiple projects spanning diverse business categories, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and long-term goals.
•Lead cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and senior management to execute on strategic partnerships.
•Analyze economic and strategic value of partnerships and recommend actionable solutions.
•Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key customers, securing high-value deals and ensuring alignment with business priorities.
•Communicate market feedback and emerging trends to guide product roadmaps and organizational strategy.

•Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives and cross-functional teams.
•Ability to operate in a dynamic, international environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

•7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
•7+ years of experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
•Proven experience creating strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
•Track record in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
•Fluent in Japanese and business-level English

Preferred Qualifications
•Recognized thought leader with deep understanding of advertising, commerce, consumer, and enterprise technologies
•Experience managing complex agreements with integrators and ISVs
•Strong ability to build and maintain networks to navigate complex situations and foster long-term opportunities
•Passionate about tackling large-scale, high-impact challenges
