This role exists to:
- Secure and enhance the core IT competencies of the company, which will lead to the competitive strength in the market, with including partner operations with IBM.
- Ensure the infrastructure and application architecture deployment and support for the semi-conductor wafer engineering and Fab.
The key result indicators for this role are:
- The individual will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of infrastructure (IT/ facilities) solutions, computing devices such as servers, storage, mobile, network devices such as routers, switches, firewall, and cloud solutions for the Japan and oversea sites, will ensure that all business, technical, operational and facilities requirements will be met.
- The individual documents and maintains updates with proper communication to the user and IT community.

- IBMとのパートナー業務も含め、市場での競争力強化につながるコアITコンピテンシーを確保・強化する。
- 半導体ウェハーエンジニアリングとファブのためのインフラとアプリケーションアーキテクチャの展開とサポートを確保する。
この役割の主な成果指標は以下の通りです：
- 日本および海外拠点のインフラ（IT/ファシリティ）ソリューション、サーバー、ストレージ、モバイルなどのコンピューティングデバイス、ルーター、スイッチ、ファイアウォールなどのネットワークデバイス、クラウドソリューションをエンドツーエンドで提供し、すべてのビジネス、技術、運用、ファシリティ要件が満たされるようにします。
- また、ユーザーやITコミュニティに適切なコミュニケーションをとりながら、更新を文書化し、維持します。
大手企業8社から総額73億円の出資を受け、同年11月に「ポスト5G基金事業」による次世代半導体の研究開発プロジェクトの委託先として新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構(NEDO)から開発事業費700億円(2022年度)を受けました。また、同年12月に設立した次世代半導体の基礎研究を担う技術研究組合最先端半導体技術センター(LSTC)と連携して2020年代後半に2nm世代の最先端ロジック半導体の短TATによる量産実現を目指しています。
