Job Description
Job/Group Overview：
株主、債権者、格付機関、経営者など当社の全ステークホルダーにとって、正確かつ適切な財務諸表の作成および開示は重要な関心事であり、当部はそれを担っております。
上記のようなステークホルダーからの要請を満たすことは、野村グループの企業価値向上にも直結することから、本業務は重要な経営事項の一つとして位置づけられています。
当グループでは野村グループの財務会計担当として、米国会計基準での連結財務諸表の作成および報告・開示業務を担っております。
この中で、グループとしての会計方針の選定、会計基準への当てはめ等を行う必要があります。
一方でこれを遂行していくために、グローバルでの整合性、効率的な業務の追求等も求められ、決算業務からは独立した形でターゲットオペレーティングモデルを策定していく必要があります。そのため、社内各部署や監査法人との意見調整、グローバルでのコミュニケーション能力および遂行力が重要となります。
さらに、決算業務以外でもAdhocな業務が求められるため、幅広い経験ができます。
Financial controllers play an important role of preparing and disclosing accurate and appropriate financial statements for all stakeholders including shareholders, lenders, rating agencies and board members. As the role is closely linked to Nomura Group’s corporate value, the job responsibilities are viewed as having significant importance for the running of the business.
Financial controllers perform a wide range of duties including preparation and publishing the consolidated financial statements for USGAAP.
Within this, it is necessary to select accounting policies as a group and apply accounting standards accordingly.
On the other hand, in order to execute this, there is a need to pursue global consistency and efficient business operations, and it is necessary to develop a target operating model independently from the closing operations. Therefore, the ability to coordinate opinions with various internal departments and auditing firms, as well as strong global communication and execution skills, is important.
Furthermore, since ad-hoc tasks are also required beyond just the closing operations, there will be an opportunity to gain a wide range of experience.
Responsibilities：
1. Accounting Policy Group業務
野村グループのUSGAAPに基づく連結決算や、日本子会社のJGAAPに基づく単体決算に関連する会計方針の策定・検討に従事
一般の担当者では解決が困難なテクニカルな会計論点への対応を行い、複雑な取引に関する財務会計の処理を検討
会計基準の変更や新規取引に対する影響分析を行い、適切な会計処理の指導を実施
Engage in the formulation and review of accounting policies related to consolidated financial statements based on US GAAP for the Nomura Group, as well as standalone financial statements based on JGAAP for Japanese subsidiaries.
Address technical accounting issues that are difficult for general staff to resolve, and consider the financial accounting treatment of complex transactions.
Conduct impact analyses regarding changes in accounting standards or new transactions, and provide guidance on appropriate accounting treatments.
2. プロジェクト業務
決算早期化及び決算高度化を実現するためのプロジェクトに参画し、プロジェクトの計画・実行を担当
海外のコントローラーズと協力し、オペレーティングモデルの見直しやプロセス改善を推進
財務会計データの整理や、業務フローの最適化を行い、効率的な決算プロセスを構築
Participate in projects aimed at accelerating and enhancing the closing process, and take responsibility for project planning and execution.
Collaborate with overseas controllers to promote the review of operating models and process improvements.
Organize financial accounting data and optimize business workflows to establish an efficient closing process.
